Horizontal Cryogenic Bulk Tanks
Horizontal Cryogenic Bulk Tanks
Horizontal cryogenic bulk tanks are essential components in the storage and distribution of liquefied industrial gases like oxygen, nitrogen, and argon. These robust tanks are engineered to maintain extremely low temperatures, ensuring the integrity and purity of the stored product. Our horizontal cryogenic tanks offer a cost-effective and efficient solution for a wide range of applications, from industrial manufacturing and medical facilities to research laboratories and gas distribution networks.
Key Features and Design Considerations:
ASME Compliance: The inner vessel of each tank is meticulously manufactured in strict accordance with the latest edition of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section VIII, Division 1. This adherence to industry-leading standards ensures the highest levels of safety, reliability, and structural integrity.
Seismic Resilience: The outer support structure is specifically engineered to withstand the demands of seismic Zone 4 installations (covering capacities from 900 to 13,000 gallons). This design consideration provides peace of mind in seismically active regions, ensuring the stability and safety of your investment.
Durable Protection: The exterior of the tank is protected by a high-performance polyurethane paint system. This coating provides exceptional resistance to corrosion, weathering, and UV degradation, extending the lifespan of the tank and minimizing maintenance requirements. The paint system also contributes to maintaining the optimal thermal performance of the tank.
Storage Capacity and Application Flexibility:
Our horizontal cryogenic tanks are available in a broad range of storage capacities, spanning from 900 gallons (3,407 liters) to a substantial 100,000 gallons (378,500 liters). This extensive range allows you to select the perfect tank size to match your specific operational needs and storage requirements. Each tank is adaptable for use with Oxygen, Nitrogen, or Argon, offering unparalleled versatility.
Operating Pressure Specifications:
Recognizing the diverse gas services and application requirements of our clients, we offer horizontal cryogenic bulk tanks with customizable operating pressures. Operating pressures can be specified anywhere from 40 psig (92.8 bar/276 kPa) to 250 psig (17.2 bar/1724 kPa). The maximum tank capacity and the intended application play a key role in determining the appropriate working pressure, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
Streamlined Control and Maintenance:
The external piping controls are strategically located at both ends of each tank, maximizing operational accessibility and facilitating ease of maintenance. This thoughtful design minimizes downtime and simplifies routine inspections. The standardized plumbing design further streamlines maintenance procedures and ensures the readily availability of replacement parts, contributing to long-term cost savings. Our tanks can also be equipped with a pressure-building system, eliminating the need for complex electrical control setups and power supplies, which reduces installation costs and operational complexity.
Customization and Options:
While we offer a range of standard designs, we understand that every application is unique. Therefore, each standard design featured on this page can be fully customized to meet your precise application requirements. A wide array of options are available to tailor the tank to your specific needs, providing a truly bespoke solution. These options can replace standard components, enhancing performance and optimizing the tank for your particular operating conditions.
